IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2023
- A Descriptive Paper has been added to the Mains Examination, similar to the SBI PO Exam. Candidates will have 30 minutes to write an essay and a letter, which will be worth a total of 25 marks.
- The time allotted for each section has been revised.
- There won’t be a separate Computer Applications paper. Instead, Reasoning and Computer Aptitude will be combined, with 45 questions worth 60 marks.
- For incorrect answers marked in the Objective Tests, a penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied.
- The total time for the IBPS PO 2023 Mains Objective Exam has been increased from 140 minutes to 180 minutes, plus an additional 30 minutes for the descriptive test. In total, the Mains exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes long.
- The Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation tests have been divided into two sections, A and B, with all questions being compulsory. Some questions will be worth 2 marks, while others will be worth 1 mark.

IBPS PO 2023 Interview Process
After qualifying for the Mains Exam, candidates will be called for the Interview Process by IBPS as a part of the IBPS PO 2023 Exam. The Interview Process will carry a weightage of 100 marks and candidates must score at least 40% to qualify. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, the qualifying marks are reduced to 35%.
In the IBPS PO 2023 Preliminary Exam and IBPS PO 2023 Mains Exam, candidates will face a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer attempted. However, no marks will be deducted for leaving a question unattempted.
