DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) is the regulatory body for civil aviation in India. It sets the standards and guidelines for pilot training and licensing in India. The DGCA syllabus for pilot exams is designed to ensure that pilots are trained to a high standard and are able to safely operate aircraft in different conditions.
The DGCA syllabus for pilot exams is divided into two main parts: CPL Syllabus and PPL Syllabus.
CPL Syllabus for Pilot Exams

2.2 Basic Aviation Physiology and Health Maintenance
Understanding flight physiology is important for pilots. This includes knowledge of the atmosphere, such as its composition, gas laws, and oxygen requirements for tissues. Pilots should also understand the respiratory and circulatory systems, including how pressurization, decompression, and rapid decompression can affect the body. They should also be aware of barotraumas and how to counteract them, as well as hypoxia and its symptoms, time of useful consciousness, and hyperventilation. Accelerations can also have an impact on the body.
The high altitude environment can pose additional risks, such as exposure to ozone, radiation, and humidity. Pilots should also be aware of the sensory system and how sensory inputs are integrated, which can lead to spatial disorientation, illusions, and approach and landing problems.
Maintaining personal health and hygiene is important for pilots, including knowledge of common minor ailments like colds, influenza, and gastro-intestinal upset. Pilots should also be aware of problem areas for their health, such as hearing loss, flight-related hazards to hearing, defective vision, hypotension, hypertension, coronary disease, obesity, nutrition, hygiene, and tropical climates.
